Thoughts anyone on this?

I was given this lamp by these two guys from the Netherlands who have very modern taste and no interest in this chandelier at all. I'm considering painting it pink ,

kind of like this chandelier.

But I'm torrrrnnnn!

Should I leave it original or girly-it-up?
